Sunday was our day of rest, and we spent the majority of the day with our family at the Waterford assembly. We went to breaking of bread and the morning meeting at the Waterford Christian Assembly where our very own Ben Daniel spoke for the meeting and some of the women taught Sunday School. After the meeting, the members of the assembly fixed us a delicious lunch. It was great to spend time in fellowship with fellow believers from a different part of the world. We had a couple hours before the Gospel meeting in the evening so Tim drove the team members to Hook Head Lighthouse. Despite the cold and windy weather, we got to witness some huge, crashing waves. We almost lost a team member into the sea, but thankfully another team member had a good hold on them. (Don't worry parents; it wasn't as bad as it sounds.) We cut it a little close to but made it in time for the evening Gospel meeting. At the Gospel meeting, Tim preached a powerful message to the visitors. On his way into the meeting, Tim snagged a monk named Raymond who was hanging around in the lobby area of the hotel. He seemed very interested in the message. Pray that the Lord uses Tim's message to convict Raymond. We concluded the evening with some team fellowship playing games at our house.

On Monday we went back to our normal routine. In the morning we letter-boxed in a more run-down area of town. It was the National Bank Holiday so most adults and children were home from work and school, which also meant more run-ins with dogs. Thankfully we didn't have any serious problems, but being scared of dogs, it was an adventure for me (Bethany). In the afternoon we did door to door work for the first time in Waterford. Most of us had a relatively good experience. While Kassi letter boxed a huge estate by herself, the rest of us partnered together to knock on doors. Dave and Bethany had a talk with one family that lasted over an hour. Pray for David and Angela; they asked a lot of questions but still have a ways to go. Ben and Jen (aka Bennifer) got invited in for tea and coffee and talked with a Polish man named Marius. Pray for him as he had tons of questions, particularly concerning the reliability of the Bible. Tim and Rachel talked with a South African man named Brett for a while. Nathan and Wayne had a rather discouraging go at it, but they are still optimistic. After a delicious dinner of tacos, we decided to try out the water in Tramore. We all jumped into the Irish Sea, and let me tell you, it was quite refreshing! The water was around 40 degrees F, no one got hypothermia though! After the swim and warming up, the younger people of the team got a chance to explore the town.
